Inclusion and diversity
Our latest inclusion report
In winter 2023 we published our second inclusion report. Using our data and continuing to listen to our colleagues, we've been able to deepen our understanding and take action to make positive improvements. The report details how we've narrowed the gender pay gap by 0.5%, and how we're now ranked as the UK's eighth most inclusive employer.

Supporting flexible working
We want to support parents and carers and enable people with long-term health conditions and disabilities to stay in work, so flexible working is key. We're able to offer this through hybrid working, part-time hours and job sharing.
We make sure that flexibility is there right from the application stage, with all our roles advertised with part-time and job share options. And everyone can request flexible working from their first day with us too.

Our networks
Our colleague-led inclusion networks are supportive communities promoting allyship, equality, diversity and inclusion across E.ON in the UK - providing supportive spaces for colleagues, sharing resources and being the voice of colleagues in underrepresented groups.
To further our commitment to creating and maintaining an inclusive environment, we moved away from talent pools in 2021 and instead created a set of inclusive development networks which help colleagues develop the skills and capabilities needed to build and progress their career and to help us achieve our purpose together.
Apprenticeships
Our degree apprentice scheme provides an alternative route into higher education. With a paid-for degree and work placements, apprentices learn on the job, getting practical work experience alongside university studies.
Apprenticeships aren’t just for school leavers. Everyone has the opportunity to develop their skills and qualifications. Our apprenticeships start at level 2, including professional and technical qualifications such as accountancy and engineering right through to PhD and MBAs.
